Re-Engage Existing Agribusiness Partners
-
Reach out to agribusinesses already partnered with CSJ.
-
Acknowledge any previous onboarding issues, especially related to the Commercial Agent (CA) approach, and communicate improvements made to the model.
-
Reaffirm CSJ’s commitment to delivering value through the updated CA system.
-
Clearly explain the new CA model:
-
Agents now serve multiple agribusinesses, handle both inputs and outputs, and work on commission rather than on margin.
-
Update and formalise contractual agreements to reflect these changes.
-
Gather any specific preconditions or requirements from each agribusiness for agent selection and onboarding.
Engage New Agribusinesses

-
Introduce the platform (Wiigot) and explain how everything works on the platform.
-
Encourage new agribusinesses to enter into formal agreements with CSJ to collaborate on the platform.
-
Request a complete product and service catalogue from each agribusiness and connect them with the software provider for catalogue uploading.
-
Gather any specific preconditions or requirements from each agribusiness for agent selection and onboarding.
-
Ask each agribusiness to recommend reliable and capable commercial agents.
-
Inform the Agribusiness that this is a pilot phase, and improvements will be made based on real-world results.
-
Discuss agent roles, commission-based compensation, and contractual obligations.

Select and Onboard Commercial Agents

-
Setup meeting with the reliable and capable commercial agents.
-
Discuss agent roles, commission-based compensation, and contractual obligations.
-
Collect detailed information for each agent:
-
Name, phone, email, GPS location, physical address, storage space, working capital, etc.
-
Preferably enter this data directly into the digital platform; if not, use a manual form for later entry.
Train and Activate Agents
-
Send training invitations to selected agents.
-
During the training session, guide agents to:
-
Select their preferred agribusiness partners and products on the online platform.
-
Understand that they may access a broader range of products and services than previously available.

Complete Contracting and System Integration
-
After agents make their selections, ensure the system generates a three-page draft contract that includes all necessary details.
-
Guide agents to review and accept contracts digitally.
-
Upon acceptance, the system will notify the relevant agribusiness for review:
-
If the agribusiness rejects an agent, collect and communicate the rejection reason to CSJ and the agent for further action or capacity building.
-
If accepted, ensure the contract is sent to CSJ, the agent, and the agribusiness for records.
Provide Post-Contract Support and Onboard Farmers
-
Coordinate any necessary product or service training between the agribusiness and the agent.
-
Support the first transactions between agribusinesses and agents, if no additional training is required.
-
Introduce agents to the software provider for further training on onboarding smallholder farmers.
-
Guide agents through live demonstrations with farmers, ensuring each is registered and issued an identification card (or alternate ID method such as facial, fingerprint, or voice recognition).
-
Monitor agent activity and compliance on the platform, ensuring accurate transaction records and adherence to all terms.
